The human body put at the center of an interactive, historic and scientific journey.
Forget those boring old museums! Padua’s MUSME is an innovative and interdisciplinary museum, experiencing great success among the studends between Preschool level up to High School level. Inaugurated in 2015, it is already considered a national excellence.
MUSME unveils, with a rigorous yet entertaining language, the secrets of the human body, along with the extraordinary journey of Medicine, from ancient discipline to modern science, with a keen eye on the history of Padua’s Medical School, which contributed crucially to the birth of modern Medicine.
It is an interdisciplinary tour (that includes local history, the History of Science, Anatomy and Physiology), which our guides will personalize based on the needs of the visiting school group. The age of the students , the class topics addressed during the year, the subjects taught by teachers: this information is gathered beforehnd and kept under consideration at the moment of the guided tour.
The museum exhibition is filled with stimuli, with interactive exhibits that are meant to me touched. In the rooms, you will find instruments for physiological measurements, for the auscultation of the heart and lungs, to test your own knowledge about anatomy, and much more.
Visists generally end in the Museum’s main room, wich houses an 8mt talking human model brought to life by mapped projections adjustable to the age of the student group.
